a big day of my family

Ben had married my sister who named Jessie and the wedding was held in Cortez, Florida in Feb 5, 2006

My sister, Jessie studied abroad to Florida in summer, 2002. She met the Mr.Right, Ben in a restaurant named "Taste of Tokyo". They were engaged on Jessie's birthday in 2004. In 2005, they decided to marry.
They prepared all things for the wedding for 6 months. You can imagine how tired they were. They rented a restaurant named Bayside Banquet Hall for the wedding ceremony and reception. Also, they hired a photographer for whole process of wedding and choosed the food for reception, etc.
Finally, the big day had come. We decorated the wedding place with many flowers, balloons , and ribbons. When we finished our works, it was already 2 pm!! We didn't rehearse the wedding ceremony yet, and the wedding will be started at 4 pm!! I dressed up right away and did odds and ends. When wedding witness was coming, [To be continued]

the Getty's sky

My parents and I reached parking area of the Getty Center by car. First, we must take the tram to the Getty Center which is on a hilltop in the Santa Monica Mountains. When we were on the tram, the volunteers gave us today's tour timetables and some advice for visiting Getty Center. Wow! Everyday tour timetables were different! When we arrived at museum entrance hall, we attended the collection highlights tour right away. The narrator used a wireless microphone to transmit narration to earphones which everyone wore. Although my listening part for English is not good, I still finished the 1 hour tour. A lot of paintings, sculptures and works of art were on dispaly in the museum's five exhibition pavilions. The architectures of Getty Center are characterful and stately. If you visit there personally, you will realize what I say. We picnicked at garden terrace and enjoyed the sunshine of CA. [Note: There is a Chinese song named "Sunshine of California" by Chiang-Fang Chang.] After lunch, we made a visit to central garden and cactus garden and had a great time.
It is hard to believe that the whole tour of Getty Center is free. J. Paul Getty is a respectable man. Of course, we bought some drink and souvenirs to "sponsor" them.

connection with the Golden Gate Bridge

This photo was took at Golden Gate Bridge in Feb, 2006.

My parents and I bought "1-day pass" which cost $11. It means that we can take many transportations, including Muni Metro, Muni bus and cable car. The important is "1-day pass" is unlimited.

We went to the Golden Gate Bridge by Muni bus route 30 at the corner between North point st.and Leavenworth st. and transferred route 28 at the corner between Laguna st.and Chestnut st..
You can get Maps about San Francisco.

When we got to the Golden Gate Bridge stop by bus, the Golden Gate Bridge was closed to us. Then we walked a few steps to get on the bridge. It was hard to say my feeling about walking on the famous and huge bridge. I was on the bridge to grasp the cable of the bridge, and it seems that there is a connection between me and history. [Note: The Golden Gate Bridge is a bridge with historical status.]
You can get more information in Golden Gate Bridge official website.

Wow, it is pretty cool.Posted by Picasa
